I use these for my kickboxing class, and as an alternative to bare hands for martial arts training. My first pair was destroyed in less than a week. My sister doesn't hit quite as intensely as I do, and after a month, hers are still in great shape - no tears or wear showing at the seams. These are designed for women, but if you don't "hit like a girl", they're not for you.

I thought I had broken blood vessels in my knuckles from a simple boxing workout, by the way- I wore these under regular boxing gloves!! The dark red marks turned to bruising and lasted a little over a week. Just FYI, I am about 5'7" and 118 lbs., using them for a simple workout - not sparring or anything like that and they still didn't protect my hands. I returned them, hoping to get a refund & I ended up buying Harbinger brand at BIG 5 Sporting Goods store. Harbinger are more expensive (about $44, but I punch as hard as I want now, with full protection)! :) I don't know what anybody would use these for.

I used it TWICE... and mean TWICE!!! And they fell apart. And I'm just a girl punching a bag. Do not buy these never had a pair of gloves fall apart on me that fast.

I very seldomly purchase ANYTHING without first looking at reviews, and I do not understand why these got a bad rating. These gloves are a MUST HAVE if your in a rush and dont feel like wrapping your hands or tend to wrap too tight such as myself. I have always wrapped my hands and had my doubts about these gloves. I'm a VERY hard hitter and have busted knuckles even with gloves and hands wrapped. It got to the point where I had to take a hiatus from the heavy bag cause I was causing some pretty bad damage to my hands. When these first came in the mail, I knew for sure I was in for some trouble, they do not look like much, infact they almost look like they would guarantee a broken wrist, but these gloves have SAVED my hands. I would recommend to ANYONE. I spend anywhere from 12-13 hours a week on a bag and have yet to have a SINGLE problem with the gloves. The only thing I would suggest, and this goes with ANYTHING you buy on the internet, is you might want to go to a sports store and try on a pair to find out what size you need.

Reading the description makes it very clear these are good gloves, however nowhere does it specify they are for a woman. It wasn't until i realized they also sell them in pink that they are girls gloves, and naturally did not fit when they arrived.
